THOMAS BERNARD AXFORD BEAMESBorn Mar 1, 1920 in Vancouver BC to William Stanley Beames and Gertrude Elizabeth (Brown). Married Mary Margaret Sinclair in 1946. Died Oct. 10, 2005. They had three children:

John William - born April 21, 1950

A CHRONOLOGY

1920, Mar. 1 - Born in Vancouver BC to William Stanley Beames and Gertrude Elizabeth (Brown).

1940 - Petty Officer, Royal Canadian Navy.

1946, Aug. 21 - Married Mary Margaret Sinclair.

1946-52? - Attended UBC, 1946-52? Attained a Bachelor of Education Degree.

1948, July 21 - Born: Denys Gordon Sinclair in Vancouver BC.

1950, April 21 - Born: John William in Vancouver BC.

1952 - Moved to Wells, BC. Taught High School English, French, and other subjects.

1953 - Moved to Quesnel, BC. Taught High School English and French.

1954 - Moved to Williams Lake, BC. Taught English. Became Principal of new Williams Lake Secondary School

1957, May 9 - Born: Mary Ruth in Williams Lake.Ruth

1960 - Moved to Lake Cowichan, BC. Became School Counsellor.

1965 - Moved to Corvallis, OR (USA) to attend Oregon State University. Obtained Master of Education Degree.

1966 - Moved to Ladysmith, BC. Became Special Counsellor for both Lake Cowichan and Ladysmith School Districts. During a provincial amalgamation of school districts, became Special Counsellor for Ladysmith - Nanaimo School District.

Masters in Adlerian Counslling.

1984 - Retired from School District. Opened a private Counselling practise which he maintained until 2000? Continued to counsel right up until diagnosed with lung cancer.

2005, Oct. 10 - Died in Ladysmith Hospital of lung cancer that had metatastisized from prostate cancer at the age of 86. Ashes buried at sea in Ladysmith harbour.
