As the villagers watch in awe, Dr. Dulcamara grandly steps from his carriage (which designer Erich Lopp dubbed "The Moach": half motor car- half coach...and the choir dubbed "The Loppmobile") and introduces himself as the only man who could help them rid themselves of all their aches and pains... woes and worries |

The gullible Nemorino admires the bottle of "special" elixir (which is really a Bordeaux wine) that the crafty Doctor Dulcamara has sold to him (bought with his very last dollar) with the promise that by drinking it, the woman that Nemorino loves will fall madly in love with him! |
