I went exploring and found this road up into the mountains west of Chetwynd. I have reached the end of a logging area. |
Looking back down into the valley that I drove up. The road curves to the left and then crosses the bottom. |
Again, you can see the road I came up disappearing into the haze. |
This is definitely the end of the road. |
A small Mountain Ash tree was growing by the road. |
at the bottom of the valley, I am looking back up at the top of the climb. The highest road is where I was before. |
Daisies growing by the road. |
This stream ran down the valley. |
Tall trees around the stream. |
This was taken looking down into the water falling from the culvert you see below. |
Another view. |
The culvert. |
Red on green. This was the only red bush around. |
A rock outcropping was the bank of the stream. |
Looking up at the stacks at the gas plant. |
The stacks and the plant. |
The plant processes sout gas and prepares it for burning. |
This sulpher stack is a by-product - it is removed from the sour gas. |
Note the gantry at the left that is used to spread the sulpher evenly. |
Another stream. |
More water. |
And more. |
Note the sedimentary rock on the farbank. |
